We started the day a little earlier to try and beat the heat, but it still was pretty hot on up in the day. The major roads rode today starting from Ms. I-20, La. highways 80, 79, 352, La.2 and La.1. We had lunch at Giles Snack Shack in Plain Dealing, La. the food was home cooked and outstanding. The locals were very friendly. It was just a touch of old American in modern times. Today was special to have the chance to be touched by life in this manner. Hey Toot Man parts of today reminded me of Bossier City, La.. In Texas we rode 77, 67, 71 and 271 to Paris, Tx.. We made stop in Atlanta, Tx. (ref. the picture). The heat was a major factor, for more water breaks on our travels today. Dale and Susan have rode on to do some other adventures, so please keep them in your prays as you do us. Tomorrow we will ride to Amarillo were I will pick up Michele, so she can ride 3 weeks with me. Mileage for today is 339 and a total of 2521. 3) Al. 4) Ms. 5) La. 6) Tx.. We all are still thankful that the good Lord is allowing us safe passage in our travels. So may the Son shine upon your face even when times are hard.
