Today we left Santa Fe riding up 84/285 North into Espanola, NM. were we crossed over part of the Rio Grande. Continuing North riding through the San Juan Mountain Range and Carson National Forest. At Chama, NM. we got on 64 west towards Farmington, we stopped for lunch at KB Dillons. Rode 64 on to Shiprock, NM. then North on 491 towards Co. riding through Ute Mountain area. Riding through these mountain’s the beauty and colors are so vibrant. Also remember when you were a child how you lay in the yard and look up into the clouds; seeing animals, faces or some shape well that is what it was like today looking at those rock formations. The areas which we rode through belonging to the Apache, Navajo and the Ute Indians. Check out the sign about falling boulders not just rocks. We made it to Cortez for the evening. Paul will be leaving tomorrow to see family and friends in Arizona. We will be heading to the Four Corners, Monument Valley and The Grand Canyon. Completed 302 miles today and 3657 to date.
