We all left this morning making our way back home. Dave, Sonya, David and Cheri set out to be home some time Sunday. Larry and Kathy traveling home by the way of the 405 (Street Outlaws). Shelia and Michele left Jackson this morning driving, while  Mike and myself  riding to cool 44 degrees. We heading south on US 89 with the Snake River running along side its steep banks. Then turning on to US 191 South traveling through the mountains and making a quick stop to put on the heated gear, for now the temps had dropped into the 30’s.  Now the Hoback River followed US 191 as it twisted and bent its self a long the canyon walls with sun bouncing of the rushing water. Stopping in Rock Springs, WY. for breakfast at The Wrangler Café before getting on I- 80 East. On I-80 the mountains were to our north and south with their rolling hills of green and brown.  There were grasslands near the roadway dotted with sagebrush and cattle. The horizon was constant reminder of the all wildfires with its smoke filled  haze. Another brief stop in Rawlins for lunch at Chappy’s . Continuing out 80 East we rode through Medicine Bow National Forest and passing by Elk Mountain.  Stopping in Cheyenne, WY. for the evening and eating dinner at T-Joe’s. All three places we ate at today where great mom and pop type, worth the stop. Dave and them are in Lexington, NE.. Larry and Kathy are here in Cheyenne. Final thought about Jackson Hole, it is the Gatlinburg of The West.  The countryside on the other hand is well worth the ride with its awesome beauty. We rode 432 miles today bringing our total 4146 to date.
