Today we decided to stair step to the southern direction. First leaving Cheyenne on 85 South (Centennial Hwy.) toward Greeley, Colorado. Passing through Ault, CO. the Gateway to The Pawnee National Grassland. After stopping in at Wild Country Harley Davidson we headed east on 34 towards Wray, CO.. Reaching Wray we turned south on 385 (High Plains Hwy.) towards Dodge City, KS. . Just east of Granada, CO. 385 became The Santa Fe Trail. The countryside was that of gentle rolling prairie land with its plateaus and twisting ravines. There were miles of corn fields and grassland with an occasional windmill. Then you would see a field of sun flowers with their own special fragrance. Once and awhile you catch the sweet smell of a Spruce tree. Then there where also miles of cattle farms with a feed yard scattered in ever so often their own special smell. Arriving to Dodge City under the evening sky of blue and gray with a trace of orange as it hand been painted by the hand of God. A update on everyone: Larry and Kathy are in Oakely, KS., Dave and them are in Paducah, KY. and Paul made it home around 4:30 today. Despite the things that have happen to peoples bikes or their person, God still has blessed us all beyond our measures.
