We took US 29 North outside Kansas City, MO. towards Nebraska City, NE. were we took state Hwy. 2 W then it was on to 80 W. The prairies with their gentle rolling hills and vast flatland’s filled with Milo (a sorghum that is drought resisted and use to make feed) and corn fields that lined the sides of asphalt running through the countryside. The background for today was colors of assorted grays with it’s occasional rain shower. Today was a 51 degree drop from yesterday with temps hanging around 45 and winds gusting to 35 mph. They calling for 4 to 8 inches of snow in Casper, WY. tonight, that is where we are going tomorrow. Today we would catch a slight glimpse of sunshine that was hidden behind the darkness of gray. I say this because it reminds me that as disciples of Christ when we are in those dark times of our life’s, The light of God is still there even when we are blinded by the darkness of life. May we always allow God’s light to direct our steps as we journey through this life. Good night from North Platte, NE. be blessed.
