This morning after breakfast at the Copper Kettle, we went out to the Bonneville, Salt Flats. just North of I 80. There are many Salt flats Norhtwest of the great Salt Lake, Bonneville being the largest. The salt flat is 12miles in length and 5 miles wide with a crust of 5 feet. The flat is comprised of 90% common table salt. Michele drove about 3 miles out on the flats, it was definitely a dirty and rough ride, one she will never forget. Upon our departure it was straight to a carwash, believe me you will need one. Bonneville is world known for its Speed Week and World Land Speed Records. Michele tasted the salt it’s very over whelming. It was very windy , blowing the salt all over your car. Another one off the Bucket List.
