We started the day a little earlier to try and beat the heat, but it still was pretty hot on up in the day. The major roads rode today starting from Ms. I-20, La. highways 80, 79, 352, La.2 and La.1. We had lunch at Giles Snack Shack in Plain Dealing, La. the food was home cooked and outstanding. The locals were very friendly. It was just a touch of old American in modern times. Today was special to have the chance to be touched by life in this manner. Hey Toot Man parts of today reminded me of Bossier City, La.. In Texas we rode 77, 67, 71 and 271 to Paris, Tx.. We made stop in Atlanta, Tx. (ref. the picture). The heat was a major factor, for more water breaks on our travels today. Dale and Susan have rode on to do some other adventures, so please keep them in your prays as you do us. Tomorrow we will ride to Amarillo were I will pick up Michele, so she can ride 3 weeks with me. Mileage for today is 339 and a total of 2521. Mike and I have rode in the following states to date, 1) Ga. 2) Fl.
3) Al. 4) Ms. 5) La. 6) Tx.. We all are still thankful that the good Lord is allowing us safe passage in our travels. So may the Son shine upon your face even when times are hard.

We left Pensacola Fl. this am heading to Vicksburg, Ms. we rode Highways 98, 90, 42, 59, 49 and I-20. Turn 2000 miles in Greene County Mississippi. Meet John, Gary and Paul in Vicksburg. Tomorrow we head to Paris , Texas. Rode 306 miles today and 2182 is the current total. The good Lord guiding hands was with us all the way today and we are very thankful for his mercy. So keep your eyes & heart on the Lord and life will be easier to handle. I have to remember that myself at times.

Today we Hwy. 98 from Crystal River, Fl. to Panama City Beach , Fl.. Note about Hwy. 98 from Spring Hill, Fl. to just out side of Panama City, Fl. is a great road with excellent views sprinkled with fishing towns its worth the ride. Made a brief stop at the new Harley dealer in Panama City Beach then rode to Hwy 331 to I-10. Took I-10 to Pensacola, Fl. staying on the Navel Air Station courtesy of Mike. We rode 443 miles today – miles update 1876. Talked with John Henderson this afternoon they are in Starkville, Ms. we will meet him and Gary Griswell some were near Vicksburg, Ms.. Paul Stevens is also riding up tomorrow to meet us. I took no pictures today, just laid down miles. So what to say in closing, well is best to be Honest with your words as well as your actions.

Today we left Homestead rode over to Hwy. 41 knows as the Tamiami Trail and it runs through the Everglades. While crossing we rode the Air Boat  at The Miccoskuee Village Center, (Dale and Mike’s first). The guide took us out to a camp in the Everglades which was used by the Miccoskuee Tribe during the period of 1836 – 1866 in order to survive until a peace treaty was sign in 1866. The area is still used today for other events among their tribe. We did see a few alligators mainly hatchlings (babies), the one floating is Sparky a 7 foot and 10 years old gator. I believe Dale and Mike had a great time riding the boat, if I lived in Florida I have my Harley and a Air Boat. After the Air boat we rode 41 to North of Naples and then jumped on 75 for it was safer on the interstate than on 41. Got over to Hwy. 98 rode up to Crystal River, Fl. for the night. Rode 367 miles today and up to date 1433. We are thankful to the Lord’s helping hands and keeping us safe. Tomorrow we are going towards Pensacola, Fl.. Until the next post be safe and enjoy life.

Day 3 started at 8:oo am , breakfast then we rode US 1 to Key West. Part of the highway is know has the Overseas Hwy. 113 mile chain connected by 42 bridges with longest one being 7 miles. We made there around 12:30 had lunch at The Hogs Breath. Accomplished a couple of things today one being the completion of the first leg and second our first 1000 miles reached on the way back in Islamorada. May notice a picture that was taken of Rooster Martin cousin on our back to Homestead. It was pretty warm today but still blessed. Tomorrow we start the second leg to California.We rode 297miles and to date 1066, So God’s Speed until the next time. Today was the ride to Homestead, Fl. after we said our good byes to John and Dapheny. We left around 7:38am riding south on 27 passing through Lake Placid then over to Hwy 997 (krome Hwy). Krome Hwy is mainly plant nurseries and orange groves. From 997 we cut over to US-1 into Homestead were Mike got us rooms on Homestead Air Force Base for the next couple of days – (note Mike is ret. Air Force). We had only a small amount of rain today and completed 269 miles. Total miles to date is 769. Tomorrow is Key West. Final note the good Lord has blessed us each mile we have rode.

I started my Four Corners Trip today June 22,2013, leaving the house at 6:10am and meeting Mike at Florence Rd. in Powder Springs. Then we rode to Cracker Barrel at I-20 to meet Dale and Susan were we had breakfast with family & friends took a few pics. My brother Rick Priest from (BFC) blessed our trip and we left around 8:25am. Rode Hwy. 154 to 92 Hwy over to Fayettevile were meet John and Daphney. Short break than on to Hwy 19 which we rode into Florida then on to alt. 27 and 27 to Clermont, Fl.. We did ride in and out of rain from Albany, Ga. to Clermont, Fl.. Today we rode 500 plus miles (depending were you came from). Tomorrow we head to Key West, Fl. while John and Dapheny head back to Ga. (due to work). Today was a great day with friends and the Lord’s amazing grace he showed us all. So until then pack light , ride far , enjoy life and may God bless the roads you travel.
