Then it was a short ride through Flaming Gorge (Hwy WY 530). Then WE Continued our travels towards Utah. In Utah 84 West started its twist and turns through the canyons with the river twisting it’s way along the roadway with snow laced mountain tops like Snow Mountain @ 11360 feet. IN UTah at Promontory Point is where Western Railroad and Union Pacific Came together to create the first Transcontinental Railroad May 10,1869 System, Second Dwight Eisenhower is also known more than just the 34th president, He is also the father of the Interstate Highway System. The weather for today started off with cool temps and strong winds, later in the day we had sunshine with warmer Temps, but on our final run of the more rainstorms. Rawlings, WY
The Face of the Mountain

This morning we headed West on80 to Rawlings, Wyoming it was a 378-mile run. We did get to see the Snowy mountains and Elk Mountain, both with elevations over 11000 feet they are part of the Southeastern Rockies. The temperature was 76 degrees until the rainstorm came and we got in the mountains outside Laramie the temperature drop to 45 degrees. we arrived in Rawlings this evening. After checking into our room it was recommended to us that we have dinner at Buck’s Sport Grill. Which turned-out to be a great choice. Afterwards we went to check out the Wyoming State Penitentiary. The Cornerstone was laid in 1888and it was finished in 1901, In 1993 it was turned over to the Historical Society. The State Penitentiary was moved to Laramie. Now let Share a couple Of God moments with you, first happen in Dodge City I met two Combat Vet Members who were on their way home to Tennessee after attending, the CVA National in Colorado Springs. They allowed me to pray with them and to give them a cross. Second happen today in Rawlings I met Three brothers from Ohio on a journey to Arizona. I got pray over them and their Bikes. They also received a cross a piece. Lesson is listen and response when God is talking.

In Tunica we turned South on 61, known as the Blues Hwy. Highway 61 extends 1400 miles from New Orleans, LA to Wyoming Minnestoa. but the section between New Orleans and Memphis, TN is the highlight of the Blues Hwy. Musicians like Muddy Waters, Bob dylan and Robert Johnson., have written songs about the Blues Hwy. later we went north on Hwy. 49. At this crossroads is where the myth of Robert Johnson was born, that he sold his soul to the Devil for fame. This myth by some is believed to be more than a Myth because of some the songs he wrote like Hellhound on my trail, Up Jump the Devil and Me and the Devil Blues. On. on another note, Robert Johnson Died at a early age he was only 27. On 49 we crossed the Mississippi River while Entering Arkansas., we took 49 to 40 West to Russellville for the night.
