We are home safe and sound. This was another adventure we always treasure and looking forward to the next. We are thankful for the Good Lord’s traveling mercies. So until the next one may the Lord be with you and yours. Have a blessed night.

This morning it was cool with a slight breeze as we went south on 135/35 to Oklahoma. Once in OK. we went east on 53 to Stillwater, OK. the home of OSU Cowboys. In Stillwater we stopped at Smokey Pokey’s BBQ for lunch. Michele had the brisket and pork combo and I had brisket chili and the smoke sausage, both were outstanding. So if you are ever in Stillwater it is worth the stop. After lunch we took 177 South to 40 East towards Conway. Tomorrow we head home for the final leg of our journey. We have enjoyed each day together during this special time of celebration. God as truly been with us over our 40 years and we have been blessed beyond our understanding, we are forever thankful.

After breakfast this morning we headed east on 80 to Nebraska. In Kimball, NE. we turned south on 71 (Heartland Expressway) into Colorado through Pawnee National Grasslands. Along this road is where the pictures were taken of the barns and the windmill. Then in Limon, CO. we took 70 East to Salina, Kansas for the night. Today we traveled through a town know as Last Chance. This brought to mind how many people believe that they have tomorrow or at least one more chance to accept Christ as their Savior. But we are not guaranteed of our next breath. Why are people willing to gamble on a last chance? For this very moment just might be it. There are only two choice a person can really make that will effect where they will spend eternity. One gives us hope and a promise everlasting life in Heaven with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The other bring darkness with no hope and a promise of eternal damnation with the Prince of Darkness. So why do you want gamble on that Last Chance? Remember that God does send anyone to Hell, it is our choice and it’s is called freewill. He loved us enough that He sent His only son to die on across. For Jesus did not come to condemn the world but to save it. We all are on the clock life not knowing when the last strike will be, Are You Ready? In His Service and Love. Pastor Don

This morning we started our journey back home under heavily hazed skies. This condition was created by the smoke from all the wildfires in Oregon and Washington. Our first stop this morning was in Thermopolis, WY. to visit Hot Springs State Park. Michele wanted soak in the hot springs, another bucket list item. After our the morning soaking it was on to Cheyenne, WY. by the way of Wind River Canyon and the Big Horn River. We made it to Cheyenne for the night. I will say this about our journey to date, no matter where you are and if you are willing God will use. God’s Speed to you all and good night.

This is our last day in Cody before starting back home. So part of the day was spend shopping and the other relaxing. This evening we had a dinner and a show at the Cody Cattle Company with friends from Dallas. Alan and Deb, Gary and Nadine and Mike. Also Steve and his wife from Alabama. If you are ever in Cody it is worth the time and money to visit Cody Cattle Company. Music was performed by Triple C Cowboy Band, don’t let the name deceive you. They will entertain from the very beginning with tunes from Roy Rodgers to Pasty Cline and more. It’s always a pleasure when you have the opportunity to break bread and fellowship with brothers and sisters from home. no matter where you are at. God has design us to have fellowship with like minded people. Remember we are called into fellowship with the family by the blood of Jesus Christ.

Old Town Village lies on the original land were the town of Cody was started by Buffalo Bill. The cabins have been moved here from different parts of Wyoming and Montana to create the town like it once was. The grave of Jeremiah Johnson has been relocated to this area. Also buried here is the likes of Buffalo Hunter Jim White and Blind Bill. There are cabins which Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid, also Curley a Crow Indian who was a scout for Custer. This was developed in 1967 to commemorate the life of the Old West.

Today Michele and I celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary relaxing, visiting Old Town Village and dinner at the Irma Hotel. We have been truly blessed with our life’s, 2 wonderful children and 4 lovely grandchildren. Thou we have had struggles and have not always seen eye to eye; it is because of a devoted love in each other and realizing that God is at the center of our marriage. Believe me if He had not always been there 40 may never have happen. I say this for if God is not at the center of marriage and life’s journeys we eventually we will fail on our own. So each day we try to live with a thankful heart focused on our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and our love for each other. For He and He alone will carry you through your doubts, struggles and the frustrations of this life. We must remember that this life is only temporary and we have a better home that awaits us.

We spend the day in Yellowstone traveling 14 West through Buffalo Bill State Park and the Shoshone National Forest. Later in the evening went to the College Champion Rodeo Series in Cody, on Michele Bucket List. Today during our travels we went through several tunnels which reminded us that there is Light always at the end of the tunnel. That Light as grateful be-livers is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. May His light always be upon you.

Today we left Cody and rode Chief Joseph Hwy (MT. 296) with an elevation of 8048 Feet at Dead Indian Pass. From this scenic byway you have views of North Absaroka Mountains as well as long distance viewing of the Beartooth Mountain Range. Michele manage survive the ride with sweaty palms, not partial to heights. Afterwards we went to Red Lodge, Montana were we had lunch before going to Billings, MT. Looks like tomorrow will be Yellowstone and a Rodeo. We just never get tired of seeing God’s wonderful and amazing creation. I encourage all to take the time and enjoy what God has created for us.

Today was big skies of blue and temps in the 60’s. We traveled 25 North to Buffalo, WY. then on to 16 West through Big Horn National Forest. Afterwards we continue on 20/16 West to Cody. In the pictures tonight you will notice some mammoth rock formation dating back as far as 3 billion years. In Big Horn they have posted several signs that state the age of certain type rock formations any were from million to the previous mention billion. Seeing these massive rock formations brought to mind how powerful and awesome our God is! It always amazing to see God’s majestic and beautiful creation. We will be in Cody until the 15th. May God’ s Love surround your life so that others may Him in you.
