Today we drove back roads to Baytown, Tx yes, a little longer but much safer, after checking in to the hotel we rode out to Monument Inn located on the Houston Bay excellent food with a enjoyable view it is called the Monument Inn because it is located close to San Jacinto Monument which commemorates the battle of 1836 which was the last battle to give Texas it’s independence; Gen. Sam Houton’s army defeated Gen. Antonio Lopez of Santa Anna forces. It’s time to call it a night. hope everyone had a wonderful and blessed Labor Day.
